Cat and Dog Grooming for Los Angeles Pets hollywood vet, vet, veterinary, vet clinic, pet expert

Remember that great feeling you had after your last hair cut or day at the spa? Pets feel that way too after a grooming session. Regular grooming is essential to your pet’s overall health. The Century Veterinary Group team, led by Dr. Jeff, is committed to providing the best possible care for your pet. That’s why we are proud to have our pet expert groomer as part of our care team. The pet expert groomer at our Hollywood vet clinic uses a loving touch to carefully clean and care for your pet. Thanks to our compassionate and attentive grooming services, your pet will be looking and feeling his or her best.

Los Angeles Vet Clinic Provides Compassionate Cat and Dog Grooming Services

Your pet will enjoy many important physical benefits from regular grooming. Your pet naturally produces oil in its coat. Cat and dog grooming will redistribute the oils evenly throughout the coat and also remove any loose hairs or irritants. Our cat and dog grooming services include a shampoo and condition treatment, nail clipping, and ear cleaning. Our groomer is experienced in various types of grooming styles for various breeds, but is happy to perform a specific type of cut when asked. Upon request, our groomer is also happy to provide basic dental brushing.

During every grooming session at our Hollywood vet clinic we will clip your pets nails. Your dog’s nails should be clipped to just touch the ground when your dog walks. If your cat has not been declawed, your cat will also need his or her nails trimmed on a regular basis. While it is possible to trim the nails of your dog or cat at home, many pet owners prefer for our professional groomer to safely take care of this important grooming need in the comfort of our vet clinic.

At-home grooming, such as brushing your pet’s coat, is a wonderful way to bond with your pet and provide basic care. While a short haired pet may only require a weekly brushing, longer haired pets need more frequent care. Because cats regularly ‘self-groom,’ it is essential that their long hair is brushed on a regular basis so that they do not develop hair balls that clog their digestive systems. Additionally, longhaired outdoor cats are more susceptible to matted fur, which can be difficult to untangle. Our pet expert groomer can safely correct any matting problems without hurting or upsetting your cat.
While we encourage all pet owners to regularly provide at-home care services, including coat brushing and teeth brushing, professional grooming services are also essential to keeping your pet in tip-top shape. sushimiso.jpg

Our pet expert groomer provides superior cat and dog grooming care for Los Angeles pets. Additionally, because many dogs and cats have sensitive skin allergies, we only use products that are all-natural, ensuring our grooming treatments are safe, gentle and tailored specifically to the needs of your pet.

Routine grooming is also an opportunity to assess your pet for any health problems. When our groomer gets to know your pet’s skin well, we can easily spot something that might indicate a health issue and get immediate veterinary attention. Our groomer will also check for skin problems and health concerns such as fleas.

Dr. Jeff and the entire veterinary team are passionate about keeping your pet healthy and looking his or her best. If you would like to learn more about grooming care at Century Veterinary Group, we invite you to drop by our vet clinic any time with your pet. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have and we are excited to welcome your pet into our family!
